AB 3136

Bureau of Environmental Justice

Environmental Justice needs to be prioritized at the highest level of government, which is why the Attorney General's office must use its authority to protect impacted communities. AB 3136 would have codified the Bureau of Environmental Justice within the Department of Justice and ensured fair treatment of people of all races, cultures, and incomes with respect to the development, adoption, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.
